Our Approach
to Functional Medicine

At The Center for Intentional Health, we don't just treat your symptoms— we find the root cause of what's making you sick. We use a proven method known as Functional Medicine to look at your body as one interconnected system, not separate parts. This approach helps us create a personalized plan just for you.

Our goal is to help you feel your best for the long run. We combine the best of holistic health and integrative therapies to get to the bottom of your health issues and help you feel better, faster.

What Makes Our Approach Different?

We Listen to You. We believe in quality over quantity. Our practitioners take the time to really listen to your story, understand your lifestyle, and review your health history. We want to know all the details so we can give you the best options and care possible.

We Focus on Prevention. Instead of waiting for a problem to get worse, we focus on measures to prevent illness. Often, this can begin with changes in lifestyle and nutrition. We'll begin with standard medical testing, like lab work to get a clearer picture of your health status.

You're an Active Partner in Your Health. This isn't a one-way street. We'll provide the information and tools you need to take an active role in your own health journey. We'll work together as a team to help you achieve lasting results.

Functional Medicine Method Enhanced by Integrative Therapies

Having worked for many years in nursing and rehabilitation, I began to see how much more was possible when care moved beyond symptoms and toward understanding the whole person. Long before functional and integrative medicine became widely discussed, I was drawn to these emerging approaches and remained committed to offering my clients a more thoughtful and personalized level of care.

That commitment led me to pursue advanced training across multiple health sciences and to learn from some of the most respected leaders in these fields. Along the way, I found a community of professionals who shared this perspective — relationships I still value today. I continue to learn with curiosity and optimism as our understanding of human health grows.

I am equally committed to learning about you and understanding the underlying factors contributing to your symptoms. Our work begins with a thorough review of your health history, where I take time to listen carefully to your story and priorities. You won’t feel rushed, and we make every effort to ensure timely access, clear communication, and space for thoughtful discussion of your questions and concerns.

Together, we will create a personalized approach, using both conventional and functional medicine lab testing as needed. This helps us identify and treat the unique causes of your health issues and track your progress. The functional medicine method provides a strong foundation for educating and supporting you on your journey to healing and optimal health. Based on your history, symptoms, goals, and test results, we will develop a customized treatment plan using integrative therapies to improve your wellness.

This approach is designed to be both collaborative and adaptable. As your body responds and your needs evolve, we adjust the plan together — refining strategies, simplifying where appropriate, and building on what works. Care is not static, and neither are the people we serve. As we move forward together, your journey evolves based on your responses, priorities, and progress. My role is to guide, educate, and provide support, empowering you through each phase — helping you build a clearer understanding of your health and a more sustainable path forward.
